A New Garden

I am still working on novel 2 and have mapped out most of the plot, but am struggling with the middle. I hate saggy middles and it's a lot of work to keep that from happening. I also need to do more research and have decided to set the story a bit later in the history of Ireland rather than in 1840's. It will be more toward the early 20th century with the very beggining taking place in the first century AD. More to come later...

I just finished digging up a long patch of earth to plant a flower garden to try to make my backyard look nicer. So far so good. I did manage to move the Stargazer lillies to a small patch on either side of the garden and planted a row of hollyhocks (mixed types/colours) along the farthest edge. A small bunch of tulips will go in a circle in the middle and the rest of the space will be filled with lupins of various colours. I hope it works out.

The second patch I dug was a smaller rectangle on the opposing side of my yard with three mini rose bushes along the farthest edge and purple pansies filling in the spaces. I'm dead on my feet and filthy and off to take a much needed shower!
